Our Story

Valerie ❤ Charity was founded in July 2015 in Hong Kong. Our vision is to support people in need and impoverished Southeast Asian communities, helping improve their living standards.

From 2015 to 2020, we operated under "Cook For a Smile." During this time, we offered cooking classes focused on Vietnamese and Cambodian cuisine for anyone interested in preparing meals for their loved ones. All fees collected from these classes were donated to NGOs and charities assisting Southeast Asian people.

In December 2022, following the COVID-19 pandemic, Valerie devised a fantastic idea to make and sell nougats to our friends and family in France and Hong Kong to raise money for charity.

In October 2023, we took a significant step in our journey by rebranding our charity association from Cook For a Smile to Valerie ❤ Charity. This transition reflects our unwavering commitment to our mission and the communities we serve.

Charity Event in slum area in Phnom Penh

Tuesday, October 8th, 2024, at 9:30 am

We helped 120 families living in the Slum area of Shrouy Chanvar in Phnom Penh. We donated a 10 kg rice bag, food bag, bread, hygiene products, and toys to each family.
